Prospect Vernon "the iceman" Paris 17 (12) - 0 (0) is going to fight 46 year old Frankie Randall 59 (KO 42) - 18 (KO 12) - 1 on Dec.13 at the Ford Community Center, in Dearborn, Michigan.
Frankie Randall has not fought in 2 years and has lost 5 fights in a row.
I don't know how this guy still has a boxing licence, but it is quite clear that he needs money to be fighting at this age and this far past his prime of the 1994 version of himself that beat the then unbeaten Julio Cesar Chavez.
Vernon Paris on the other hand is keeping on his current path of fighting over the hill fighters like Patrick Byrd and John Brown, and if this fight gets commission approval you can add Frankie Randall's name to that list.
Let's just hope Frankie Randall changes his mind and stays retired, cause at this stage of his career going to the ring with a young fighter like Vernon Paris could get him seriously hurt.
