1984-present? I see it more along the lines of:
      1. Marvin Hagler
      2. Julio Ceasar Chavez
      3. Evander Holyfield
      4. Kostya Tszyu
      5. Pernell Whitaker
      6. Lennox Lewis
      7. Bernard Hopkins
      8. Oscar De La Hoya
      9. Roy Jones, Jr. (lost status because of roids question)
      10. James Toney/Shane Mosely/Antonio Marco Barrera

Ray Leonard by 1984 had suffered the eye injury and was beyond his prime. Even though Duran's great defeat of Barkley was in 1989, he also was beyond his prime by 1984. Larry Holmes was also past his prime by 1984. So I excluded SRL, Duran, and Holmes even though they were still active.

Personally I enjoyed the fight and the crowd was into it. The brawl of it lacked but the chess match was a joy to watch.

God no! The last fight was boring as hell. Oscar would win if the fight were a 6 rounder, but he sucks in the 2nd half cause he's old and gets tired. Floyd would just do like last time and do barely enough to win and run like hell the rest of the time. Why would we want to watch this again?

"Every time i would throw my jab it would snap his head back, but for some reason it wasnt the night of the jab".

            WTF??
lol I know. WTF was up with that.

Part of me says that he deserves it. It was a close SD fight. Oscar was on the offensive the whole time, being competitive and had a couple good shots. But he gassed. And he would gas again. There was more than enough time to prepare for the fight, he should have been there to fight all 12. Moreover, he got everything he wanted. Weight class, ring size, gloves. And he fought a guy he had to have like 15 pounds over.

I think you could make a case for a rematch, but it would be overhyped like the last one, and have the same result.

We need Mayweather-De La Hoya II about as bad as we need Taylor-Spinks II...now THAT'S bad.

it would be pointless for this to happen, other than the fact that they would make big paydays.. mayweather needs to start fighting the other welter champs, especially cotto
