Even if Sultan is catious with Wlad like he was with Briggs he won't be able to stay away. I do think it will be a far better fight than most expect.
yep thats what Im trying to say, Iggy will probably give Wlad a bit of trouble early on, we all must remember that Wlad had a bit of trouble with Brock in the early going and I even remember Manny saying to Wlad the Brock was winning the fight after round 3 or something..

Ibragimov has to realize that he cannot be cautious with Wlad because he'll get picked apart from the distance of that 10" advantage in reach. I think he'll be jumping on the inside from the opening bell and will try to take Wlad out early, that's the only chance he's got. I also think that he's got more of a chance doing that than Wlad's previous opponents.

Byrd is faster than Ibragimov, I'll grant that, but he's got no power to hurt Wlad, whereas Ibragimov has plenty. It'll be a totally different fight, and should be a good one at that. If it happens, that is.

Corries Sanders was a southpaw and Sultan is more of a well rounded fighter than Sanders was...........

you have somewhat of a point, but Sanders was unique and also very inconsistent do to the fact he was to lazy to make something special out of himself. Sanders possesed one of the fastest and power left hands ever. If you fought the guy especially with the wrong game plan like Wlad did it was lights out. I think Iggys hands are faster but he doesnt have the left hand that Sanders did, that punch would come out of nowhere

I agree with this post,,although I think iggy is actually slightly faster than the byrd of the second wlad fight

Ya, it's just that there have been so many announcements about unification that I am skeptical about them. HW unification seems to be cursed or something. True, neither one of them has pulled out of the fight recently but it's just too good to be true. I'll believe in this thing happening when I hear the opening bell.

the key difference is sanders was 6'4 with a big reach. sultan will have wayyy more trouble reaching wlad. add to the fact that wlad is a much better defensive fighter these days,,but sultan does have the speed and southpaw stance of sanders so it could be a psychological advantage for him
