How many gift decisions did Ali get?

Ive heard a few of his later fights in his career were really controversial and that he got a couple of freebies, but I havent seen his whole career, so I really cant say...never got the chance to score these fights. wasnt a huge fan of Ali's style.

This doesnt have anything to do with how good he was 'in his prime' or 'how bad he could have beat so and so in his prime'. this is just about the fights that actually took place.

But out of the fights listed, which ones did you have Ali losing? please, only vote if youve actually seen the whole fight. and if it was a fight that could have gone either way, thats fine, just vote which fights you personally had Ali losing.

ALi was a boring ass dude that ran, **** aint the GOAT imo

    here's Ali's gameplan:

Jab, dance around the ring and laugh, jab, jab, jab, dance around the ring and laugh, jab, combo, dance around the ring, clinch and do nothing, get separated, repeat til bell rings then repeat

He lost 2-1 to Norton imo.

      He lost to Jimmy Young.

He beat Shavers but it was close.

He beat Doug Jones quite clearly.

young won but i don't remember my scorecard and have no desire to see that stinkfest again.

shavers won 8-6-1 and norton won the 3rd fight 8-7.

        ali beat jones clearly.

whoa! stop right there yo you need to haul your carcass back to the MMA forum if you really think that, you don't know **** about Boxing.. how you going to bash a Boxer for Boxing? get lost yo..

as for the thread I think Jimmy Young may have gotten the best of him and maybe Norton, Shavers did well too but I can see how Ali got those I just feel Jimmy Young though may have taken that one.. FTR I have the utmost respect for Muhammed Ali, that dude stopped George Foreman IN HIS PRIME, he let him wail off to his body and just talked mad **** in his ear, he did way back then what Floyd does now, he's like the Afrika Baambataa of Boxing, a pioneer to a style others perfected a little better, Larry had the better Jab and Floyd is more the technical Boxer, doesn't abandon his jab as much and doesn't exchange as much but still wins, Ali was the truth yo he set the blue print that the best fighter of our era and possibly the best fighter in era's to come uses/will use.. 100

Pretty much any of those fights you mentioned could've gone to the other guy. I wanted to give the fight to Jimmy Young but it was hard since he didn't take any chances at all to pull the fight out. The Doug Jones fight gets closer and closer everytime I watch it. Jones just had a way to land that right hand on Ali, I don't even know how he did it.

Earnie Shavers fight? Maybe I'd give it to Shavers.

I would say Ali was given 3 gifts in his career.
