JMM would be a great tune-up for PAC to prepare for Guzman's style!

Everyone is talkin' about this imminent rematch between PAC and JMM(or maybe not, depends if JMM p*ssies out again).

Since PAC has had problems with counter-punching/slick types. A rematch with JMM would give PAC a good idea on how to fight Guzman. JMM and Guzman have two similar main components in their boxing repetoire, and that is terrific counter-punching and great upper-body movement to make opponents miss.

What makes Guzman different from JMM is that Joan is unorthodox and Juanita is all about the Sweet Science/textbook fighter.

I think Juanita is on a slight downturn in his career but remains to be a formidable opponent for the Asian Powerhouse, PAC should really use this glamorized sparring session w/ JMM as a great training tool to prepare for Mini-Tyson.

    What y'all think?

its just a matter of time until PAC loses to Guzman OR Marquez IMO. PAC is better off fighting the weaker champs like David Diaz.

JMM is NO tune up for anybody, he can't be a tune up due to his style.. if anything he is worse than Joan because he's a established vet who is more explosive, he can make Manny pay WAY more than what Guzman can believe that.. no offense but bad call homie. 100

It's only a matter of time that PAC fans will be talkin' all kinds of **** when PAC puts the beatdown on Juanita and the Juanita fans responding with all kinds of excuses, mainly, they're gonna use the "past his prime card" to save face for another fallen hero of theirs!

The bold-faced statements robs all credibility from the rest of your post. But I will concede that the post lacked credibilty to begin with after the Marquez is a pussie for not fighting Manny previously. JMM was an idiot for not fighting Manny, but that doesn't mean fear, just bad business decisions. If the Pacquiao/Marquez II doesn't go off, this time it will be because of Pac-man, not Marquez so leave that one alone. Guzman wouldn't be able to get by Marquez so I don't think he should be lauded upto JMM and Pacquiao's status. I started a thread previously on how if both get overlooked by Manny, that they should fight one another. But Guzman ran away from stardom the other night, his fault. Lets hope JMM/Pac-Man 2 happens.

Guzman didn't run away from stardom w/ his performance against Dumberto. For chrissakes he was away from boxing for a whole year. Contrary to what you and a few others think, I thought it was a pretty d*mn great performance considering who Joan was up against last night and coming off a long layoff to boot, he made that fight look easy, as if he was in the ring by himself shadowboxing(lmao)

****, you wanna talk about boring performances, JMM has plenty of those in his career, guys he should've taken out but ended up lulling us to sleep.

Lull to sleep, against whom? Granted he's no Gatti, but far from hug-a-thon Hatton. The first six rounds impressed me with Guzman, but his disdain for engaging in fighting the second half of the fight turned many away. I have always liked Guzman, the man's got talent, but he isn't quite on manny's and Juan's level. Juan has more than a legitimate chance of beating Manny, and unlike the Pacquiao fight, I would make Marquez the favorite against Guzman.

i agree that jmm is no tune up and is a serious contender who threatens pac. but guzman imo is a more dangerous opponent. he has fantastic boxing skills, is incredibly quick, and seems to have an iron chin. he also has many more gears to go through if need be
