you would get disqualified. any truth to this? he said this was pre 80's.
yo, my gramps said that in Mexico, if you turned your back and ran during a fight....

if that was the case here PBF would have about 10 losses. haha beat you floyd haters to the punch. -
^...........
as for the thread I can see how this can be true, mad crazy **** happened in Boxing so to hear something like this happening doesn't surprise me, over the years I have heard about ref's counting to 20 instead of 10, guys wrapping their hands with cement and much more craziness.. even referee's stopping fights with only 2 seconds left for a clear loser, this falls right into place and I doubt ya pops will lie to you, he must have saw or read something and it's very believeable..
have I heard anything about it? no, do I believe it? yes, just one of the many many crazy events that go down in Boxing.. 100Comment

Floyd doesn't turn his back (unless you count wobbling away from Judah after taking a shot to the nuts, sure)

Well... I've seen a couple of fights stopped recently when this happens. Cotto-Judah for example.
It's a pretty clear indicator that you are in trouble, or don't want to fight anymore.Comment

LMAO ^...I already made a post saying to leave this nationalist b.s. out of a serious boxing forum(in my attempt to generate more intelligent and somewhat objective boxing talk), but you may call how most mexican's fight being a warrior, i call it fighting and not boxing. the objective of boxing is to hit and not get hit, not push forward constantly and take a beating while seeing who has more power and a better thin. In my opinion, and in the opinions of virtually all boxing judges, that is fighting and not boxing. Oscar is a great BOXER, but if you want to generalize mexican boxers as warriors, i would have to disagree and call them fighters.Comment
