Mayweather Sr: "Gatti is Better Than Hatton"

In a recent interview with BoxingScene.com's Jose Aguirre, Floyd Mayweather Sr. took a few swings at undefeated junior welterweight Ricky Hatton. Mayweather Sr. feels that his son, Floyd Mayweather Jr., will have an easy time with Hatton when they fight on Dec. 8 in Las Vegas. He even went as far as to say Arturo Gatti, who was dominated by his son, is a better fighter than Hatton. [details]

Not at the time Floyd fought Gatti , I think a young Gatti was better in the days just prior to when Ivan Robinson beat him , Gatti was really good early on .

Who cares Mayweather Sr. says, he looks like a crackhead off the street and he can't even formulate a proper sentence. It was funny watching him struggle to get through his interview with Merchant after Floyd/Oscar, I felt embarrased for him. In Floyd's case, the apple dosen't fall far from the tree.

He deserves it, only a crackhead would say Gatti is better than Hatton. I bet Mayweather Sr. was smoking crack and shooting up during the interview. He probably hasn't even seen a Hatton fight before. The only thing I like about Mayweather Sr. is the fact that he hates his son, he's not alone, LOL.

Actually, for a while there were plenty of comparisons made between Hatton and Gatti. People called Hatton an upgraded version of Gatti.
