It's the media. Remember how after 24/7 Floyd continued to complain about how HBO didn't portray him in a good light to make a bad guy vs good guy angle. He does want to be accepted but he made the choice himself, he was told by Oscar and Ray about the game and how he should act and he decided to let it go through one ear and out the other. He knows the choice he made and he has to live with it but by the end of the day his accomplishments will speak for themselves.
