24/7 is the biggest hype machine for fights i've ever seen. I hope they continuously do this for big fights. Of course, they need people to sell the show, and Mayweather is a perfect person to do that.

If Hopkins-Calzaghe is ever made, I think they should make a 24/7 for it. It'd be Mayweather-Hatton on a more veteran, intellectual level. Hopkins' age and experience, and his resume will draw a huge reaction from those who don't know about it, and Calzaghe's star status, trouncing of his toughest opponents EASILY and breaking Hopkins' streak with 21 straight defenses will make it an interesting match-up to think about.

I like how 24/7 got so many people that wouldn't watch the Mayweather DLH fight to watch it. And then be angry feeling it was an over hyped fight with little action, and resented the whole thing. I hope it won't be a repeat...at least this fight won't be as popular.

That's a great point. Because that was the case with a lot of my friends who are non fight fans and after the DLH Mayweather fight didn't want to know about boxing, because it didn't live up to the series. Thanks Oscar.

yes thats why i DO NOT want a 24/7 for CALZAGHE-HOPKINS.

It would a great show, and people like ME and YOU would know what kind of fight to expect at the end, but ur casual fan would get all excited for a fight that wouldnt get anywhere near the hype.

It would be an ugly fight

This method helped UFC a lot. I'm glad boxing is taking the same approach.

There's no doubt 24/7 was worth 500k buys at least.

                  24/7 is so ****ing good

HBO does a great job, Mayweather is incredibly entertaining, and Hatton is awesome, tonites episode was great and showed the likeable parts of both Floyd and Hatton.
Also, Billy Graham is a ****ing badass, and Roger Mayweather comparing the fact Floyd is still fighting and what keeps him hungry to why Bill Gates still makes computers was priceless.
I cannot wait for next weeks episode.
