What should PAC's gameplan be against Guzman?

Pac's gameplan should be to avoid Guzman at all costs. This is a fight he definitely cannot win. Guzman is too fast and slick to let Manny touch him. If the older Barrera was able to avoid Manny for 12 rds, imagine what Guzman will do? He'll pick Manny apart going in and out and avoiding all of Manny's big shots fusturating him. It's just a bad matchup in every area.

Guzwoman's style is just a nightmare style for PAC to deal with period

But I don't think his last fight with MAB is a good comparison. MAB was not there to create openings, he simply didn't want to stand in the pocket and find openings, but to merely claim that he survived. Big difference in someone trying to win a fight and not wanting to fight. MAB's tactic will make it difficult for anybody to land on him, all he had to think about was defense.

Joanne on the other hand, will make you miss, but his punching technique is sloppy himself, he has obvious holes himself, albeit it closes up pretty quick. And f**k that, I'd rather have a Manny that ends up losing to Guzwoman than a Manny that ducked Guzwoman, ya feel me!

I'd be so sweet though if PAC does end up hitting the homerun on Guzman's chin(lol)

The plan that Pac use to fight MAB in their rematch. Do not fight at close distance like what Soto did. Punches to the body then head. Pac should fight at a distance, use jabs, then straight lefts. Can throw upper cuts instead of straight lefts. If this fight happens, i am sure Roach has a plan for Pac to beat Guzman.

I doubt they take this fight, it could be billed as the next big thing only to see two fighters in the waiting game or someone running. Many cannot afford to have another boring fight.

For the gameplan, Manny should just stick to Joan like a leech and dont allow any distance, simple as that. A few hard shots will bust Joan's ego (I hope he does have 1) and let him come forward.

For PACMAN to have any success against Joanne. PAC would have to change from a homerun hitter to a contact hitter. A fighter who throws everything w/ bad intentions is a counter-puncher's delight. PAC has to control his fieriness in the ring and not be so d*mn aggressive in the early rounds atleast.

Actually, PAC needs to pitch hard and medium, he needs to let Guzman feel his power right off the bat, but also throw some offspeed pitches. Keep the counter-puncher guessin' and get Guzman to bite on his feints. The thing with PAC is that, he needs to feel comfortable, if he can land the contact punches then he will gain confidence as the rounds go by. He also has to play the counter-puncher role, let Guzman lead a little, this maybe Guz's weakness.



Going against a slick cat like Guzwoman. If PAC tries to throw the hard stuff with every single punch in the early rounds and probably end up missing , he may end up gassing out by the 4th.

Jab, Jab, Right, run. And reapeat. Pacquiao has enough power to make it work, and Guzman is so fast, Pacquiao has to be carefull. I also advise Pac to hit the Peanut Bag a lot, cuz he'll need his handspeed for this fight.
