    Joe Bugner in Cripple fear

Mighty Joe Bugner (mighty in physical stature not boxing ability) is now bed ridden, Joe to the demands he put on his body during his boxing career, he states his spine has crumbled away and stays in bed for 20 hours a day, and might end up in a wheel chair if pending surgery isn’t successful, he can hardly walk and requires walking sticks, his ribs are so calcified they stick out like coral reef, due to the many times they have been broken.
Never new Joe was in that many really hard fights, and never forgive him from robbing Henry Cooper of his title, rumour has it the Ref Harry Gibb give the fight to Bugner as he was an up and coming fighter and Cooper was about to retire, very few people thought Bugner won, with a margin of a ¼ point, people still shake their heads over it.
We sometimes forget what these people put them selves through for are entertainment, and when they quit we completely forget about them It’s a reminder to us all what these people go through and very few make a great living from the sport which many of the dangers only become apparent years after retirement.
Spare a though for Joe and all the others who put themselves through hell for are enjoyment
    GOOD LUCK JOE

20 hrs a day in bed ,,, he was at the Aussie heavy weight title bout the other week on the Gold Coast and he looked pretty good stepping into the ring for photos and he moved around the crowd pretty good from what I could see .

boxed well past his prime, took a beating off Bruno, then made another come back, then another, not good for you really, but if you need the money.

Bless Joe man, boxers go through so much and this sport is so tough to succeed in.
