Idk about you guys... but i scored SOTO-GUZMAN a draw...

Probably gonna get a lot of hate for this but...

Maybe i just have the mindset that Guzman is a light puncher... but i didnt see very many effective shots.

For the most part the same can be said about Soto, as Guzman blocked nearly all of Sotos shots against the ropes. BUT, Soto did do some nice body work early and won him a few rounds, and he scored a lot of blows upstairs late in the fight that had Guzman running around.

To be honest, judging by how the fight went, this is a fight Guzman could have dominated. He seemed to have control during every round. But he never did anything.

he just covered up against the ropes and through an ineffective shot every now and again, as Soto swarmed him with activity.

Idk how you guys score a fight, but im a big fan of activity. If 2 guys land the same amount of shots, but one guy is throwing several dozen more shots... u gotta give him the round.

Especially considering the fact that Soto seemed the bigger puncher. He had Guzmans face swollen, and landed some heavy shots every now and again.

With that said, Guzman has really fast hands and in half the rounds, he really stepped it up and threw some combinations that had Soto baffled... and then he just stopped...

So idk, it was a wierd fight to score, and a hard one IMO. But i thought Guzman didnt do nearly as much as he could have. He seemed to outclass Soto at times.

Dude. These guys have these HBO blinkers on. Soto had 5 losses and 2 draws. What these teenagers automatically think is that Soto is a bad fighter. A J-man.

I felt that Guzman won but it was a close bout. I had it 3-3 after 6 and Soto won the last 2 out of 4 rounds.

Here's what I said before the bout:
    Had it a draw.

I had it 10-2 for Guzman, you must've been drunk if you had this fight a draw.

That wasn't rnning that was fighting smart. He traded, he landed counter shots and showed impressive defence along the ropes.

Just because he didn't fight like Arturo Gatti doesn't mean hes boring.

A draw? I had it 117-111 for Guzman. Soto wasn't landing ****. He was landing body shots, but barely did anything. Guzman had way better defense and was countering better the whole night.

What's with some of these people on these boards and hating on outboxers? It's pathetic.

And to say Soto had Guzman running around was a joke. Guzman might have not been that active in the later rounds, but he had ring generlship at all times. Just because Guzman got away from the ropes doesn't mean Soto had him running. If anything it shows how Soto couldn't keep up with him.

10-2 for Guzman is REDICULOUS. ill say that right now. If you had Guzman winning by 1, 2, maybe 3 rounds, fine. but 10-2 is a REDICULOUS score.

I would've scored it 10-2, but I felt really bad for Soto so I gave him the 2 rounds that Guzman didn't dominate too. 8-4 Guzman.
