I agree for the most part but I do hate when a guy flat out runs away out of a sticky situation....you know turning his back to the other fighter while scooting from danger.....Other than that I think Guzman put on a wonderful performance and would outbox Pac rather easily....IMO.

The problem with Guzman and Mayweather is that they have the speed and the skills to beat their opponent by going forward not running. Boxing is called a "sweet science" but the way Mayweather fought against Baldy and Dela Hoya and Guzman fought in some rounds last night, would you call that sweet science. In boxing, their is a fighter that goes forward and the other backing up. I don't mind if a fighter is backing up because the other fighter is the attacker. As long as the backing up fighter is using his skills to counter punch the attacker. That is what i want to see in the sweet sciende, not running away from his opponent.

I agree, and while everyone has the right to like what they want I would suggest that is the only reason you think a boxing match is good is if it a brawl you are more of a casual fan.

and who exactly are you to impose your veiws on anuone else? STFU newb!

only a moron would say don't call boxing this because boxing is this instead.

it's called the fight game for a reason, and everyone veiws how it should be done differently.

so don't try to say that because some don't care for slick, no chance taking ****'s like Mayweather they are in the wrong.

All the greatest are remembered for their wars- how does that figure into your little equation? nobody will be talking about how masterfully Mayweather outpointed DLH 10 years from now will they Gunstar, but i bet they will still be talking about the wars that took place in out time wont they.

it's the fight game- maybe you outta try appreciating the things in life that matter like heart, will, and the strength to overcome, not dancing around and pitty patting, and somhow equating that to greatness.

I agree 10000% and it's half the reason why I don't post as often now.
I get so sick of reading this and that poster call this and that boxer names and telling us all how this and that boxer should have fought.

Look there is a reason why they fight the way they do during a match ,it can be because of a number of things, strategy, things are not working,it is his best chance at winning,he is hurt,he is sick,he is tired, ect ect ect.

I could see if you yourself are a boxer that has reached the same or close to the level that these people we watch on TV have but even then it is always easy to sat at home and say what the guy who is being punched in the face should be doing.

I also do not mean that none of it is correct or that no one makes good point or is on point with their ideas.
I only mean the people who are disrespectful about it as if they could have done better yet would ask the fighter for his autograph and kiss his ass if they ever met.

To the threadstarter.....couldnt agree more, GREAT POST!

I mean....if a guy is running around like a bich not throwing punches jst trying to survive, thats different... but if a guy is circling around or jst moving bt also throwing counter punches and working the jab or something like that...well thats boxing. Not everyone goes in the ring and goes to war. It is ridiculous how fighters are criticized these days for simply boxing and using the sweet science.

You're an idiot, this is boxing, not street fighting, if you don't appreciate the sport then I suggest that you go watch some figure skating or shut the **** up. When that **** beats your loverman on December 8th then what will that say about your loverman??

That's just BS, you clearly don't know **** about boxing history. How many great wars was Willie Pep in??? Isn't Pep remembered as one of the greatest boxers of all time? same goes for Whitaker and many others.

What makes you think guys like Mayweather or Guzman has no heart, what the **** do you know about heart, any boxer that fights professionally has more heart in one of his fingers then you do in your cowardly body.

You're a ****ing boxing n00b, either learn to appreciate the sport or STFU!
