Oh fine, he didn't block all of them, he got out of the way.

    Happy now?

Though I was really impressed when Soto backed Guzman out on the ropes, Guzman kept weaving and swaying his way out and not get hit. Really impressive.

I guess Guzman wins on style points nothing else. He's getting worse and worse.

Compubox were waaaaay off, as they frequently are. There's no way that Guzman laned 100+ punches more than Soto, no way. It was a gift decision in my eyes. Soto will be back though, so I'm not really worried about it.

Yeah even if you gave Soto mercy rounds (your choice) there's no way Guzman DIDN'T win 8 of the 12 rounds. At feasible most, you could give Soto 4 rounds and even at that I'd say a score of such is whack.

        Anyways, it's a done deal.

Moving up in age and weight with diminishing power..........Guzman is showing that he might be one of if not the most complete fighter in boxing. He obviously showed the power at the lower weights. But now he relies on fighting cereberally and using his gifts in athleticism.

if more have landed, guzman base would not have been as strong, he wouldnt of been able to get out of the corner, and he would of been fatigued

One think i didn't like either was the ref who kept stopping Soto when he got a grove to body punch the ref would interupt. The ref was very bias towards Guzman.

I thought Soto looked foolish for most of the fight. Plodding forward does not equate being the aggressor. But I don't argue with those who suggest Guzman's style is difficult to watch. I enjoying watching his fights, though would like to see him return to the days where he fought with far more aggression.

Please tell me you didn't just call Soto a plodder????? What an insult.

Eh, I try to leave the ref out of it, or, at least, not use the ref as an excuse. I don't think it threw Soto off his game much because he was still landing bodyshots. The idea that Soto wasn't landing on Guzman all night long is ridiculous-which is what some would have you believe.

Burowz was soto's body shots affecting guzman at all? i doubt it which means they were getting blocked or weren't powerful enough.

There is no debating on who won. Guzman had complete ring generalship and utilized the sweet science to win the fight clearly.
