The real tragedy doesn't lie in the fight

Great post bro. I agree 100%. I think today's sports culture covers these fights in the veil of political correctness and thats a true shame. Even though they are tragic in ending, these fights exemplify what should be great about professional sports - heart, courage and athletic prowess.

In a sports world full of prima donnas and pretenders, professional boxers (some of them at least) set a great example of what athletics, and the human spirit, is about.

Exactly they should be commended and remembered for the way they fought and what they gave yet some seem to think it a sin when mentioning these fights as great because of the outcome.

I'll choose to remember them as great fights and speak of them as such and not just forget about them as many do.

defently should be talked about just like any great fight, they are warriors who carried on in battle a strong will to win.
