I sometimes find it interesting how fights can be almost lost with the issue of gloves. Does anybody care to elaborate just exactly why certain gloves are preferred? What makes the different brands the way they are?

I mean i've been made aware that Winning are "pillows", and Cleto Reyes are "punchers", but exactly what makes Cleto so preferred by punchers, and alike with Everlast, Grant, etc.?

I've put on a pair of reyes glove before and they are very easy to make a fist and make you feel like you can hit like king king. I've tried other glove that weren't reyes i forgot which ones they were but they felt like they had a ton of protection as oppossed how reyes felt.

I think the glove thing if anything is another mental edge in boxing for the fighter that get there favorite gloves.

One thing about gloves, if they both share the same glove what edge can there be except mentally? so it wont matter what gloves a mentally tough fighter wears.
