why is it fighters from the past are always talked about as f they are much better than present fighters.

They have no common opponents or anything. Cotto has a much better arsenal and much better boxing skills. The only thing Tito has better is a left hook. I dont see why people wouldnt give Cotto a chance in that fight. I think if they met at 147 Cotto would probably win. Zab Judah and Shane Mosley are good punchers, fast, and very good boxing skills. Judah blitzd Cosme Rivera and Andre Berto and Joel Julio couldnt dent him. Judah knockd Spinks silly and Jermain Taylor coudlnt even hurt Spinks with his best shots, neither could Mayorga. Cotto has a better chin than he gets credit for. Cotto would have more than a good chance against Tito.

tito is barely a fighter from the "past" i see him winning purely on his size advantage and his power. tito has all the physical advantages and that beast of a left hook. That left hook is a hell of an advantage.
