If anything mosley deserves a rematch against cotto more so than the ones he got against wright and forrest. He was beaten far more decisively, and didn't look like he could improve on anything. Despite that, he still fought well.

AGE will be the determining factor in a rematch. If can somehow maintain
a substantial amount of his gusto he should win. He seems to be fully aware of why he lost. His articulate descriptions of the fight show that. Although he looked off timing wise, Cotto has now lost his most potent weapon that won him the fight on nov 10; the element of surprise.

Even a fighter like hopkins, who has an exceptionally high boxing IQ was utterly shocked by what he saw from cotto. Including cotto's age and supposed hunger advantage, among other things, you have to wonder how the hell did shane make it a close fight.

      HILARIOUS.
not that hilarious, its surely possible. Didnt look like Vivian Harris could KO Urkal after their first fight, he did in the rematch. Didnt look like Mosley could knock Vargas completely silly with one punch after the first fight, he did in the rematch. A KO or TKO is very possible if they fought again. Its boxing, anything can happen.

I understand you're a really big fan of Cotto. Really big, so I appreciate your entusiasm but Shane Mosley has NEVER EVER EVER been knocked out by ANYBODY in his life. The guy is tough and physically durable far beyond normal strandards. Could you not see that in the first fight???

He couldn't even hurt Mosley with the kitchen sink.

You don't knock out guys you were on the run from without ALOT more power than Cotto has. Especially fighters like Mosley who understand their opponents with twice the intimacy the second time around. Shane isn't just another warm body.

Cotto has never landed an exploding shot like the one Mosley landed on Vargas on anyone who doesn't sell insurance by day. Cotto had to start Boxing and running from a guy he should have already had softened up.

I got some bad news for you, man. Cotto wouldn't win the rematch let alone get any kind of knockout. Mosley would get the knockout.

LMAO! Mosley does horrible in rematches. he has never won a rematch against the person that beat him because he never changes his game plan.

how again did you come up with shane being good in rematches?

Cotto would put it on Mosley twice as bad if they ever met again.

Cotto by UD, Mosley's chin is just too damn good, he went toe to toe with the hardest punchers P4P, he lost some, won some, but he didn't fold. I think the UD will be more decisive for Cotto though, Mosley will not be properly motivated for a rematch and Cotto will have something to prove.

Mosley is one of the few fighters that I think can beat Williams and (perhaps) Cintron (he's looking very sharp lately). He should pursue those fights and get another belt to add to his legacy, another fight with Cotto wouldn't do much for him.
