If Edison would use that crazy reach of his a little more to set **** up, he'd honestly be 30% better. I just wonder if he can change, you know?

I didn't watch the Porras fight but Pantera2000 said that he's boxing a little more now. It's a start.

He is not the most skilled fighter....but the confidence and the attitude that he will fight anyone, anywhere is infectuous. Other then Mosley (who doesn't/hasn't had confidence in a couple years) who fights anyone and everybody, there isn't many in boxing like Miranda, except Taylor.

The winner of this fight should get Jermain Taylor if/when he loses to Kelly Pavlik.

Yea, Miranda did look good during the Porras fight. Similar to how he outboxed Green, but much improved defense. Here is a link to the fight. Watch it and let me know if you see improvements....

I saw the fight already some time ago and yes, Miranda looked improved. I think hes learning to go backwards and hes improving his defense. And he seemed to be faster which tells me that the trouble making weight really affected him against Pavlick.

I shouldn't even have to say this

how is fighting December 7th ... and January 11th twice in the same month?

and Pascal's opponent December 7th probably is a tune up anyway

just saw the Miranda vs Porras fight, Edison looked more relaxed and showed a pretty good jab. and good handspeed as well

I think he'll do fine at Super Middle, that was only his first fight at the weight.

Let's not get technical! He is fighting twice in just over a 30 day period. Very unusual for a professional with as many wins as he has.

I guess you could technically say these two fights are a year apart!

did you ever consider the fact that Pascal could be fighting a cream puff opponent?

its really not that big a deal ..... Pacal is what 19-0?

and again to be fighting December .. and then January

he's probably fighting vs a club fighter who has little to zero chance at winning

look at Julio Ceaser Chavez Jr. for example ... look how many fights he's had that are a month a part

                  and he's only 21.

It is not so much as to who you are fighting. It is the training and weight loss to get down to your fighting weight, putting the weight back on, and immediately start losing again. It is hard on your body.

These guys usually lose 15-20lbs over a 4-6 week period slowly and gain most of it back in a few days. To do that back to back is not easy.

Pascal's fought 2 months apart, why not 1?

Lets say Pascal does the weight loss thing .. gets down to 168 for his December 7th fight

why would he have to do it all over again? just 1 month later?

Do we even know his walk around weight?

he's a professional, your telling me a pro athlete can't even maintain the same weight .. a good 30 days later?

I really doubt Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the only fighter that is in shape all year round.

hey I dunno Jean Pascal and his training camp, but I would think that he is going to be doing something between his December fight and the January one besides cutting of 10-15 pounds

again not calling you out, but you would have to think that to cut weight December 7th ... and then to do it all over again one month later, sounds kind of tedious

is it too unrealistic to say that Pascal would be in shape December 7th .. and maintain it by the time January 11th rolls around?
