    Mayweather/Hatton: Shades of Leonard/Duran I?

Ricky Hatton Hanging-out with Roberto Duran: Could this be a good thing for PBF? Is this a bad omen for PBF? Just wonderin'...

I don't know whether it's a good thing or not. All I know is I can't wait for the fight and regardless of the result just hope it lives up to all expectations.

If it's anything like Duran/Leonard I then were all in for a great night, especially if Mayweather takes it to Hatton.

Not even close. Floyd cannot lose to a fighter with as many flaws and weaknesses as Ricky Hatton. Hatton is not hard to hurt, either. Floyd will put him on the canvas at least once in this fight.

Floyd can't even put Arturo Gatti on the canvas. I don't do the triangular logic in general but if Floyd couldn't put down Gatti (who has been knocked down dozens of times) when Gatti was essentially target practise, how would he put down Hatton, who has been knocked down once in his entire career and is harder to hit than Arturo?

its clear imo that the puncher in this fight is ricky. pbf wont hang around long enough to set his feet and deliver knock out shots... he'll just be throwing scoring shots. i think he knows that going toe to toe with ricky would be falling straight into rickys gameplan and a fighter as smart as floyd wont risk it. pride isn't something that has got in his way before with fights, he's all business

Duran is just on a different level than Hatton. Hatton would have to beat Mayweather than win titles in at least the Jr Middleweight or Middleweight division to even compare the two. As lightweights Duran would have knocked Hatton out cold and most likely ended his carreer..

The fight was stopped early so whos to say as the rounds went on that Gatti wouldn't have went down from more punishment. Your logic doesn't work at all. As for the bold that remains to be seen. Ricky takes a lot of punches but he comes out the winner. But he will lose on Dec 8. that is for sure.
