Actually, Ricky Hatton is his WBC mandatory.. Also, Floyd is the lineal champ because he beat the man who beat the man, as well as the previous man, so there's no doubt as to his rank. No one else has done that so all that matters is that Floyd is the top welter weight.

I always liked Mitch and he made a good fight out of it + he is a former champ and their is nothing 'bum' about that but no i'm taking about his last few Zab,Oscar,Hatton.

But before you start going off on me like i'm some hardcore PBF fan let me point out that I am not.

I like to wacth him fight because of his skills and that's about it.

To be fair to the big mouthed mofo I don't think it would be because he feared anyone,sometimes its just the way things go....but its odd he fights an over the hill Oscar and lighter weight in Ricky...but thank God he got this fight sorted because we all wanted it and I can't ****ing wait for it

Well he beat the guy who had the Ring belt at 147... so the top dog. Zab Judah was was previously the Ring champ. Now Ricky Hatton, who is highly ranked in the division below, and would likely be ranked highly at 147 as well. I mean, he won a belt there.

If your really gonna try and justify this, Baldomir was old sloww, and dlat footed and was not a real elite welter. he had his fifteen minutes of fame and beat a Zab Judah that has never shown up in a big fight and has never had any mental focus. Zab is the worst example you could use, he has always been highly overrated, mentally weak and has lost every major fight he has been in with the exception of one win against Cory Spinks for gods sakes, that hardly makes him an elite fighter. Not to mention when he fought Zab he was coming off a loos to baldomir. He is already talking about avoiding Cotto because e is saying that theres no money in it which is bull****. Cotto with his latin following alone is more loved and revered than Floyd. There were over 20,000 people when Cotto fought Zab and as long as he has his latin following he will always be a big draw. it's funny to me that when alot of Floyd fans were ready to hate on Margarito if he had not fought Williams which was the smaller name and took less money when he had a bigger payday lined up against Cotto. Had Floyd avoided a fighter and went for the money, his fans would justify it by saying it was a good business decision. Yet Marg took the fight, and now that Floyd wants nothing to do with Cotto, floyd fans try and justify it when Cotto is the biggest fight at 147 and in his prime.

Because he "has nothing left to prove" and "no one is on his level" and "there is no money fighting them" regardless of the fact that he and his fans say he has alot of money so he doesnt have to fight anymore.
