JMM. A Great Mexican Champ but.....

But handled badly by his managers and advisers.

I used to think JMM as a chicken but I admit his performances as of late are quite worthy of someone as a p4p top 5. His agressive pressure fight against Barrera was a shocker. His latest fight isn't bad either.

The Pac fight has to materialize to settle who is the better man.

But his managers seems to advise him of the most ****** of decisions.

    Thoughts.

Honestly he ****ed himself over in the Freddy Norwood fight when he didn't pressure enough or throw enough. Had he converted his style then or after that fight, instead of doing so this year, he would have been in with Barrera earlier in his career.

Juan Manuel Marquez is, in my eyes, the most complete and skillful active fighter today, pound for pound. I've never seen another active fighter today perform on such an active and skillful level, everytime he enters the ring. I had thought Marquez may be on the decline with his age but it seems the Juarez fight showed how great he still is. I've never seen an active fighter today who throws better combinations than Juan.

At one point in the fight he ripped Rocky Juarez high and low, with the left hand. First a left hook to the head, then a left uppercut to the jaw, and then a ripping left hook to the body. Marquez is the real deal, and as long as his promotions team doesn't sidetrack him again, I see no way Pacquiao can handle Juan's technical ability.

              Wide UD for Marquez.

As a Mexican, I hate to say it but so many Mexican fighters are managed so poorly. JMM is not the only one, I think Margarito is handled bad as well. They tend to think with their balls instead of their pocket books.

                    Agreed.

Had he opted for an attacking stance earlier in his career he would probably be lined up near the greatness of Morales.

And possibly even over Barrera based on his skills.

It was only against Terdsak if memory serves me correct that he changed everything up.

It's quite sad to think he threw all those years away by following a boring style.
