Moving up abandoning the MW belts, capturing the LHW title and defending it against the sport's second best fighter in coalition with previous accomplishments makes you one of the best. Hell he should be rated higher than 5 easily.

Then watch Kessler calzaghe round 4, when he was all over the shop and got hurt a few times,

The Calzaghe of the second half of the Kessler fight and most of the Lacy one transcended the textbook boxing some people can't look past. It was a thing of beauty.

1) Alot of those punches were hitting gloves, mayweather landed the more effective shots, but de la hoya's defense was pure class, no expected him to nearly match mayweather in a tactical boxing contest.

2) Calzaghe was hurt in round 4, and got hit throughout the fight with some really bad uppercuts.

3) To be fair there was one round, (you know the round) where calzaghe used awesome boxing skills, not just dodging and firing back clapping hooks.
