They did the right thing IMO

A rematch of last weekend's controversial match for the interim title between champion Joel casamayor and Jose Armando Santa Cruz was ordered. Full WBC champion David Diaz will be allowed to make a voluntary defense while waiting for Casamayor and Santa Cruz to settle things and become the mandatory challenger to unify the WBC belts.

At least the WBC is gonna give santa Cruz a rematch but it shouldn't even have to come to this. The fight was not contreversial, it was an outright robbery, one of the worst I have ever seen. All I can say is that Cassa is lucky he wasn't fighting Juan Diaz, Diaz would have destroyed him.

Normally when this kinda thing happens, and one guy gets robbed its a big shock because the guy expected to win didn't prepare. But this is different, Casamayor is shot and way too old. Santa Cruz gonna whoop that ass again.

thats way too early for the rematch. they wont do it that quick. Santa Cruz was straight up robbed no doubt about it.

The WBC will let David Diaz make a voluntary defense and then he must face the winner of the Casamayor vs. Santa Cruz Rematch.
