I've never particularly liked the guy, but unlike a lot of people, I've always appreciated that the guy has ability. It's like the commentator in the Lewis rematch said: ''He isn't just some guy who came in off the street and hit a home run.'' He has good fundamentals and physical ability, but appears to lose focus and isn't helped by his lack of stamina.

For a guy with only an average chin, I still find it very annoying [as a Tua fan] that he managed so many rounds with Tua.

he's not that physically gifted.

he's got decent athleticism, a hard right hand, a great jab, but his speed is modest, his balance is porous, his chin isn't too good, he gets tired.

he's also a tad long in the tooth so i have a tough time ever seeing him on top of the division again.

but he'll always have his win over lewis and making quitali run like forrest gump.

sure, he's not a superstar but he has to tools to win most fights. The balance issue and mental discipline come from his late start in boxing.

But yeah, with his age and win/loss record he will likely not win another title unless he KO's that bum Ibragimov.

Good to see someone else picked up on the Rahman thing. I made a post like a year ago about it and got flamed off the forum. They say "why would he run?" and I say "I dunno, but theres PROOF HE's RUNNING!"

everyone picks on rahman because he's not the most talented guy, but he beat a semi-young and in-shape corrie sanders and beat an out-of-shape lennox lewis for the heavywweight championship of the world.

naturally, brittley bitchsko beats an old fat corrie sanders and loses to an older and out of shape lewis and runs a marathon from rahman and everyone sucks his ****.

sanders wasnt in shape for rahman. he was 5+ lbs heavier than he was for wlad and it was well documented that his training consisted of mostly golf for that fight

sanders was 225 against both rahman and wlad. sanders was at least somewhat active when he fought rahman as he had fought 3 months before that.

when sanders fought wlad's inferior older brother, brittley, sanders was 10 lbs. heavier and you could see it all in his gut rather than bulking up. corrie hadn't fought in over a year and was winded by round 2.

of course, that's brittley's career defining win, an inferior version of a hasim rahman leftover.

TK, It was Toney not Rahman who was lucky to get a draw and Rahman was losing not winning when Maskaev knocked him out. Granted Sherman WIlliams isn't a known commodity, he is a little better thana club-fighter. Otherwise, Rahman's heart is willing but his chin is weak, and thats a HUGE problem in the heavyweight division.

wrong. he was 230 for rahman at a time when his in shape weight was around 220 lbs. yes,,,sanders was also out of shape for vitali...but he was older then so his weight would be higher as all fighters put on weight normally in the aging process
