Golden Johnson is no bum. He was a perennial contender. We need to learn a more conservative use of this word. No fighter should be called a bum so lightly. They risk their lives. Certainly, Johnson is a level below Margarito these days and risked his health in there. Don't disparage the man.

Finally someone with some sense. Golden is certainly no bum as he wins 80% of his fights and was coming off good victories prior to the Margarito bout. A lot of misinformed people seem to think there are only elites and bums which is clearly not the case in boxing reality. A better definition of a "BUM" would be someone that loses more than he wins and Johnson does not remotely fit that category. Margarito came and destroyed him in quick fashion like he was supposed to and I doubt anyone else at welterweight could have done it any faster except maybe Cintron because of his power. I highly doubt Hatton, Cotto, or Mayweather could have blown Golden out as quick if at all so please view the match in its proper perspective.

Boxing is a tough sport and not everyone can be A list fighters but that doesn't mean we should belittle those that are not because it takes a lot of courage to step into that ring especially when you know it's a superior opponent that you may get a beatdown from. Have some respect for them instead of behaving like fourteen year old b****.

Not for this, remember Margarito was a world champ earlier this year, he lost a close decision to Paul Williams, one of the top 4 at least WW out there, of course he's going to take a tune-up fight before challenging for another title.
