this is the biggest boxing forum on the web, so it is not surprising that it is also harboring the most idiots. 1. cotto has not done merely enough to warrant a fight with the #1pfp in the sport. 2. floyd hasnt even beaten hatton yet. let him beat hatton and consider his options. floyd is a business man, and if he can get the biggest payday fighting cotto he will. of course people will say that he is ducking cotto and scared if he says he wont fight him, this will generate potential hype for the fight should it ever occur. 3. cotto does not match up well against floyd at all. if PBF wanted to he could make that fight just like the baldomir fight. the public wants a fight that will challenge floyd. hatton at least presents a chance at challenging him because he is more relentless and harder punching than virtually all potential challengers, cotto included. keep hating on floyd because he is the best, somebody has to do it.

It wont be like the Baldomir fight.

I think Cotto would do what Oscar could'nt and thats pressure and hurt Floyd. Cotto has speed Baldomir does'nt.

No ******, Floyd fans are probably excited by this, because Cotto's win looked a lot like Mayweather's win over De La Hoya, so now when a Cotto fan tries to call Floyd a coward or whatever, because he didn't get Oscar out of there, and won a close decision against an old guy, then we can throw it right back at y'all.

        Mosley looked good.

        So did De La Hoya.

        Whoopty ****in' do.

        Good win Cotto.

It does seem very strange to me that all you Cotto fans have seriously set up a defensive network of responses to people saying **** about your fighter... except no one is saying **** about your fighter.

Paranoid much? Little worried that since Cotto's victory wasn't a wipeout, people are going to criticize it? What ever gave you that idea? Could it be that you remembered all the posts you made from May 6th to November 9th?

cotto victorys in welter (mosley judah unbeaten quintana) are more impressive than judah baldomir and the worst chin in boxing mitchell

yeah cotto is faster than baldomir, but not to the extent that floyd wouldnt just put on another boxing clinic similar to that fight. if cotto had more power i would say it would be a decent fight because he is fast enough to catch PBF with A COUPLE good shots throughout the course of the fight. but he will need more than that to put PBF in any sort of peril. bottom line, floyd isnt ducking anyone, if he beats hatton and cotto is the most lucrative fight out there, it will happen. believe me, floyd is not scared of a fighter who does not have great speed or one punch knockout power. if you think he is scared and will duck him even if it is his biggest payday option, tell me what about cotto is "scary?"

I wonder if elgrandluchador realizes HE is in fact a Floyd nuthugger. You don't have to be an avid fan to be one, you can be an avid hater.

i think Mayweather (as much as i dislike him and his style) would beat Cotto.

In the fight against Mosely, Cotto had virtually all of his success when Mosely was trying to go toe to toe with him. Cotto looked like a great fighter at that point, he is a great fighter. Mosely played into his hands perfectly.

When Mosely switched his style to box on the outside, Mosely was able to outbox him relatively easily.

of course by this point, Mosely had taken so much punishment with body shots and flush headshots, that he couldn`t put many rounds together.

My point is that MW would box going backwards the whole fight and would win a boring UD.
