Miguel Cotto might be Trinidad's new sparring partner!

According to interview in WKAQ-Puerto Rico news station(radio), Evangelista Cotto ( Miguel Cotto's trainer ) was asked about the rumor that Trinidad camp approached them to recruit Cotto to spar in preparation towards the Roy Jones fight. He said that in fact it was true, that Felix Trinidad Sr was looking towards that because Cotto is a brawler and can assimilate RJJ's style when he was in his prime. "we want Felix prepared for a rough, tough fight. We dont expect RJJ to be boxing, we expect him to throw bombs at us. Miguel is the man to get us ready for the job, and Don King is willing to pay immense amount of money to have Cotto, the new WW King, prepare his man Tito for the upcoming fight" Said Trinidad SR. Evangelista then said that it's a huge posibilty and great for keeping Cotto in shape for upcoming fight in june.

No matter how famous Cotto becomes, or how good he is, we will always love Tito more regardless. Even though at this age, Cotto would destroy him.

Even though Cotto is skilled enough to give Tito different looks, he resembles Jones' style about as much as Maussa resembles Mayweather. With that said, this would actually help Cotto because it will give him looks against tall strong fighters, which would help him against the likes of Cintron and Margarito.
