Andre Berto - This guy will probably have a few failed title shots before finally winning an alphabet title somewhere down the line, but I can't see him beating Cotto, or any of the current champions for that matter. I feel a little sorry for him, on the way up when there is so many top fighters in their primes in that division. Cotto by KO inside 5.
Antonio Margarito - Cotto is better than Tony in every department bar workrate. It would probably be a decent fight, but I'm of the opinion it would go the distance with Cotto winning by clear UD, might even *gasp* *shock* *horror* put Margarito on the seat of his shorts somewhere along the way. A Yank commentator would reach ****** over Cotto's sudden growth of a solid chin.
Floyd Mayweather - Duran-Leonard I? Or maybe Hagler-Leonard? I just can't see how this fight goes.
Joshua Clottey - I haven't seen enough of this guy to make an accurate prediction. I'd guess a Cotto UD in which he'd get the chance to show off his somewhat limited boxing skills.
Junior Witter - Honestly, I think Witter would give Cotto one of the tougher fights out of all the names listed here. Welterweight would be too much for Witter though, he'd be slowed by the body punches by the mid to late rounds, and then be picked apart. Cotto to win by TKO or corner stoppage in 10. Witter would be up on the scorecards too, unless we're talking American judging.
Luis Collazo - Collazo doesn't make it out of the first half of the scheduled 12. I noticed Collazo was feeling all sorry for himself in his corner in the later rounds of his fight with Mosely, I think Cotto would take his heart alot earlier than that.
Oscar de la Hoya - Too old. Cotto would destroy him, probably wear him down and KO him inside 6 rounds. I get sick of seeing de la Hoya and Hopkins sitting in the third row at every show damnit, smiling all the way through the boring, uncompetitive undercards. If Oscar values those nice white teeth his dentist gave him, or that shiny pampered head of his, he should stay well away from Cotto.
Paul Williams - That long skinny body... *snap* *crackle* *pop*, somebody is going to be pissing blood by the gallon if this fight happens. Cotto by KO inside 8.
Ricardo Mayorga - Cotto's short punches would make short work of the wild swinging Mayorga in about 2 rounds. I saw enough in his fight with de la Hoya to tell me Mayorga has little to no punch resistance in this stage of his career. I could see the stretcher being brought into the ring here.
Ricky Hatton - Ricky doesn't have many different styles, if he stood in front of Cotto, or tried to fight on the inside he'd get KO'ed with body punches in about 4 rounds. I think people would be suprised how easy Cotto would beat him down. Hatton could run and box, but I don't see him doing that after the amount of trash he's talked about Floyd doing it.
