How did you score Cotto vs Mosley?

I scored it 115-113 for Cotto and this is coming from a big Mosley fan. I was surprised with Cotto's boxing ability, he proved he isn't just a slugger and a brawler. The fight was pretty close, but Cotto had the edge over Mosley.

I scored it exactly the same 115-113 for Cotto.

I honestly scored it a draw. Cotto running like a criminal in the final rounds didn't warrant a victory imo, with it being so close.

That's why you score the fight round by round and not on the final rounds alone. That's why Cotto won, because he won more rounds than Mosley, duh!

No one is talking about all the hugging that Mosley initiated through out the fight, a lot of people saying it was Cotto the one wrestling, let's not be biased. We have to accepted that Cotto won and he is one of the best if not the best at 147

To give this the worst case scenario treatment I also gave the 2nd and 8th rounds to Cotto, but those could have easily been Mosley rounds. I think Cotto did that 5% more to snatch em though.

The 2nd and the 8th are what has this twisted.

It was a very close fight, Cotto did surprise me with his boxing ability. I had it even after 4, then Cotto like won like 3 straight. But Mosley came right back and turn the tide and he was landing the more clean shots and I had it even after 10. And I felt like Mosley won the 11th and 12th. I don't think Cotto beat Mosley but I don't think Mosley won it. Cotto was the beltholder so I felt like he should retain his belt. In a perfect world it should have been a draw and we prolly need to see it 1 more time.

That's kind of dumb to say Shane was hugging. He held on the inside. And why not? Why would you let Cotto batter you to the body. He was already landing heavy shots to the body. Shane was just trying to take some of it away from Cotto.

That's not dumb at all. And it wasn't like Shane wasn't coming forward and not staying in range.

With that said I think Cotto took the middle rounds. But the last 3-4 he landed a few good shots going backward but not enough to win those rounds decisively. The fact is Shane had the opportunity to blitz Cotto and put him away when something was obviously wrong with Cotto in round 9 I think ( I could be wrong).

Cotto won a close one.
