One thing that drives me nuts about this forum, is that people are completely unable to differentiate between CLOSE FIGHT and RIP OFF.
Mosely - Cotto was not a rip off. HBO and ESPN both had it for Cotto by 2 points. Boxingscene.com had it for Mosely by 2 points. Every single round was close. One thing that I said to friends while I was watching, with all the close rounds, is "I hate to see the fight this close, because whoever wins it is going to be controversial". Notice, every close fight ever, there are people on here shouting rip-off.
There have been very few rip-offs in recent years. Lewis-Holyfield 1 counts as a ripoff. Emmanuel Augustus-Courtney Burton, ripoff. Jermain Taylor-Bernard Hopkins, not a ripoff. Margarito-Williams, not a ripoff. Toney-Peter 1, not a ripoff.
If one of the judges had the fight 120-108 for Cotto, then you could start saying "what the hell is going on here". 115-113 is NOT a ripoff. It was just a close fight.
