Why did Cotto start boxing starting RD.9

im wathcing the fight right now and its like a switch came on and he started boxing shane almost running like he was hurt but i ddin't see a punch hurt him. was he more fatigued or what? did he say why he did that in his interviews? one thing i do notice is that cotto is not pushing the fight like he always does although he was the aggresor hes not always making it a fight.

He has done it in the past effectively... countering and moving etc. I guess he has another "dimension."

i think he was getting tired and frustrated from the clinching that shane was doing so he decided to back away and make shane fight more

Cotto was fine, he just decided to box because he thought he had it in the bag.

People should really watch Cotto's fights with N'dou and Ceballos. He fought the same exact way agaisnt them the whole fight because they tried to pressure him.
