Is Haye going to Get Credit where it is due?

The guy has just won the World title in just 20 fights.
For a British boxer this is outstanding.
Mormeck was the recognised Undisputed champ as well.
Not just an alphabet title holder.
He also went to Mormecks own Backyard and took his title after overcoming adversity in the 4th round to do it.
Any other division people would be raving about it.
For some unknown reason the Cruiserweight Title fight was ignored in the usa and Setanta only bought the rights for the fight at the last minute.
Those that don't have the internet and missed it are damned unlucky IMO.
In Britain we have people Lauding over a Hyped Amir Khan who gets plaudits for beating nobodies and is nowhere near World class level yet.
People are saying "Haye is ducking Enzo Maccarenelli".
    That is ****ing sad.
I mean he just beat the BEST out there.
Enzo has one name on his record in 32 year old Wayne Braithwaite who lost 2 of his previous 3 bouts and had only fought once in 2 years.
Hatton won his Title in 39 fights after 8 years.
Calzaghe won his WBO strap in pretty much the same time scale as Haye but against an aged Eubank and was not classed as the Undisputed king of the Supermiddle division at the time.
Why isn't Haye getting the respect he deserves?

I for one am proud to have another World champ from these shores.
And I will be rooting for the guy at Heavyweight regardless.
He has shown that he means Business by fighting the best and isn't scared to go to war if need be.
    Big respect David Haye.

Haye's doing well. Hes come on leaps and bounds over the last few years. I was a bit skeptical with him at first as i am a big Carl 'the cat' Thompson fan and if u seen the fight they had you would have to have been skeptical but hes won me over and its onwards and upwards for Haye :-)

I thought he done really well against Mormeck and has the potential to be a great heavyweight.

            Have I said that?
            No.
            THis is another thing.
Forget about him at heavyweight for this moment.
Right now he is the Cruiser Champ and should be getting his well deserved praise for achieving that feat.
People just seem to look past his achievement and want to ***** about him not fighting Enzo or that he may or may not be successful at Heavyweight.
This is about Haye claiming the World title at Cruiser.
            He deserves his ****ing props.

              Here, here. Well said.

He went to the Cruiserweight kings own back yard and knocked him out! Something his fellow Brits don't seem like they want to do and instead they stay in the comfort of there own areas i.e Manchester, Cardiff and wait until the money's right to jump on a plane to go and fight abroad late in there boxing careers.

              Any questions?

Agreed moofo. Unfortunately, Cruiserweight isn't the most popular of divisions and that's why Haye isn't getting that much recognition.

Once he steps up to heavyweight again and beats a couple of top fighters, the British and world public will take notice.
