Mosley made the Error of believing the MYTH that Cotto Has a Weak Chin And Based his PLAN A on that theory..

Gone were the trademark Flurries and Combos.. Replaced instead by a Looking to land THAT one big punch headhunting STYLE...

When Mosley Threw punches in bunches.. he was effective..

But he seem to figure that out a little too late..

I amazed by Cotto's speed. I have watched him about 5x, against Mosley his speed was impressive.

Carlos Quintana said that he was surprised by Cotto's speed, I believe that your correct and Mosley didn't believe Cotto could outjab and out box him in the middle of the ring.

Yeah I don't feel Shane was one punch at a time at all. The numbers bore that out. He threw 99 more punches than Cotto. He probably underestimated Cotto's speed a bit and a big factor is that after a 9 month layoff at 36, Shane slowed down just a bit with his hand speed. I think there wasn't much more Shane could have done. Maybe he could have emplyed his stick and move style earlier than the middle of the fight, however a big reason that style worked later is because SHane landed big shots when they traded early and he wore cotto down a bit. Great fight

I have to watch this fight again for several reasons, but..

For me, I think Mosley was as shocked as anyone else that Cotto was so fast and accurate upstairs. If we're looking at this in the perpective of why Shane lost it I would have to say that Cotto fooled us all with his counterpunching and smart Boxing. Especially Mosley, who we could see in various replays getting nailed square in the jaw as he's doing a nice job of covering up his torso. I think Mosley prepared for a different fight than he got, underestimated Cotto's strength slightly, and underestimated Cotto's overall ability. But Mosley wasn't the only one.. Alot of people did. But then again; who knew Cotto could perform like that against his best ever opponent? Miguel was ripping shots about 4 times faster than usual.

Neither fighter came as ordered.

It was a close fight. Cotto looked fantastic and Mosley looked good at different points. But Shane's timing was off, and he fought more like he was in a sparring session than an actual fight for extended periods.

All credit to Cotto. He did as much to win this fight as Shane did to lose.

Cotto did use much of his speed in Judah fight probably Judah made him look slower than he really is.

But Carlos fight Cotto was quick and tricky, He switched quick from time to time which confused Carlos alot.
but he cant do this trick all the time. epically not in front of elite or veteran fighter

Cotto was effective because he would keep catching Mosley when Mosley was Moving away.. Cotto did a splendid job of reading Molsey's foot work..

I have always believed in Cotto and Bet on him in this fight just like I have bet on him in the past.. I have ALWAYS known he is Fast..

SO I am not trying to discredit Cotto's win in any way..

I am just saying .. For 6 or so rounds Mosley was headhunting.. He found Success later in the fight By Throwing Combos.. His Trademark.. I am simply wondering he abandoned His hand speed in the early going..

Err some people forget Shane Mosley is 36 years old. Physic peak for men comes around 27, 28. Then it's down hill
