lol....you cant be serious shawn_. I pretty much predicted how the fight went. What would happen.

you called it a 'pickem fight' and a fight that could go either way. And how was your analysis correct? You said Mosley was an underated body puncher. We knew that. You said Cotto was chinny. We knew that. You said Mosley was old. We knew that. You said Mosley was fast. We knew that.

Wheres the analysis?

I have not really taken the type to break down this fight, because it really is not needed. Who ever wins in the ring, one thing is certain, we all win as fans.

I chose Mosley because in a slugfest, I always chose the guy with the better chin. This kind of a fight is really hard to analyze in depth simply because the path the fight follows is largely based on the stamina and durability of the fighters, which is impossible to predict.

With Judah you had some intangibles to pick from like his mental weakness, but you don't get any of that from Mosley. The guy always thinks he can win, and if he is still standing up, he is going to try. But, Mosley is old, so can he keep up with Cotto? I honestly don't know.

Cotto, of course is rather chinny. If there is one thing I am certain of in this fight, Cotto gets hurt and at the very least does on of his famous little dances. However, he doesn't stay hurt long, and is the younger fighter. Contrary to popular belief, Cotto was actually a pretty slick boxer in the amateurs, and does have those skills to fall back on.

Mosley is also an extremely underrated body puncher. People forget, when Mosley was on the way up, his body punching was nearly feared to the extent Cotto's is, his boxing ability has simply eclipsed it in recognition.

Last but not least, Mosley is FAST.

So basically this fight is a pick-em fight. Either fighter could conceivably win, but I'm picking Mosley because he has the better chin.

This is the kind of fight that I would not bet on, because you cant really determine who is going to win.

Playing both sides of the fence is calling a close fight. You may think what ever you want of my prediction, yours wasn't bad at all, but I am very happy with mine. The fight played out on TV just like I saw it playing out in my head, Right down to Cotto falling back on his boxing skills.

I dont really care what the judges say. Fight analysis is not about predicting the ultimate judges decision. It is about predicting the flow of the fight. It is about analyzing how two fighters will mesh with each other. I am counting this analysis as another win for me.

nah, let me stop being a **** head.. on some real **** this fight was close as hell, I knew Cotto won but it ****ed me up in the head on how Cotto will do against Floyd, this was an older Mosley against a prime Cotto and Mosley gave Cotto A LOT to deal with, I respect Cotto 100 times more now because he put loss number 5 on Shane, he eliminated him from top title contention and it deserves respect.. now all thats left is Cotto-Mosley(oops I meant to write Mayweather) because the other champion Williams already has a scheduled opponent for the 23rd of Febuary.. o and also much respect to Addison who called Mosleys chances to a TEE, I know we had our little E-scuffle but it's all respect when the sun comes up homie. 100
