Mosley has short arms and a compact frame as compared to many of his adversaries. His jab is not especially effective against the likes of DLH, Winky, Forrest, Vargas. He's had to make his way with powershots. In the case of Cotto, he should have used it more and followed it up with something. he used it to offset Cotto, only occasionally following it up. Thats why he lost the fight tonite...
mosley had a 74 inch reach he only used his jab against hoya in the first fight . shane hasn't boxed effectively in over 7 years he doesn't use his adavantages and gets too tense

I didn't duck your post you just don't know how to ****ing read. mosley has a 74 inch reach and cotto a 67inch reach.

the older you get the more hesitant you are to pull the trigger. shane had the reach advantage but didin't utilize it, he had the foot movement advantage and didn't utilize it.

Then how come the tale of the tape had Mosley with only a one and a half inch reach advantage over Cotto? Where did the other 5 and a half inches disappear to?

generally speaking, I agree with you. Shane seemed to have all of the advantages but seemed too tense early on, and later, too hesitant to pull the trigger or follow through. Though Miguel's slick dodging did him no good either.

You can't knock Mosley for his age, seriously. At 36, to put on that type of performance against a guy like Cotto? If anything Mosley's stock rose equally as much as Cotto's. It could've gone either way.

I've seen many fighters fight at the age of 36, none of them as effectively as Shane Mosley did tonight. Nothing to be ashamed about there.
