yeah, Cotto is right on the bubble of 'casually' known boxers..

Good analysis. Cotto will be undefeated no more after tonight.mosley will b a problem
but look..
cotto looked great in his last fight w/judah
mosley looked good w/collazo
tho that will have nuttin to do w/the fight
my pick...
mosley by decision(in the style he beat delahoya I)
mosleys chin can take cottos power
and he's barely going to see that power anyway becuz of his reflexes and leaning
he's too quick, and fast for cotto
and unlike judah he will be trying to outwork cotto the whole fight
he will be on his a-game
cotto will b too but mosley is as hungry as he was wen he fought delahoya the 1st time
and i doubt cotto was and ever will be as good as delahoya was
cotto dont box at all really(except against judah)
i see it like this...
cotto bobs and weaves while moving forward and throwing occasional head shots(missing the majority of em),and trying to get the body
while mosley backs up picking off shots and countering
leaning shots and parrying
flurrying when cotto gets close enuff..
all the way to a decision(maybe controversial)

Everyone know who Mosley is and what he is capable of doing.
A normal boxing fan would pick Mosley. This fight is going to be hard for both.
Im going for Cotto though, because to me he is the underdog and I have money on Cotto.
Cotto has a real good chance at winning. Watch how he will land right hands all night following a left hook. Just like De La Hoya was landing.
(Don't go jumping into **** saying "Cotto ain't no De La Hoya" I know that, but Cotto is on top of his game!)
Lets goo! All of ya will be fans of Cotto after tonight!Comment

I think this fight is much closer than ESPN polls predict.
I think the lines are almost dead on accurate -132 for cotto and 100 for shane.
its a close fight and i could honestly see either fighter win.
personally i'd LIKE to see cotto win the fight due to the fact i believe it does much more for boxing and the welterweight division.
if mosley wins then in a sense it ruins everything.
it gives mayweather another great fighter on his resume who (in their prime) would beat mayweather.
if shane wins he's going to fight him like he did de la hoya...basically let him tire himself out and win the late rounds.
if cotto wins mayweather will have a hard time ignoring him and saying, "who is miguel cotto?".
and cotto wont tire out...he's quite possibly in his prime and is in tip-top shape.
if cotto wins he is officially the number 1 contender in the welterweight division.
that opens the door for more big fights (against possibly hatton, mayweather, paul williams, etc.)
shane's best chance of winning is circling cotto to cotto's left (staying away from those big right hands) using good defense (from those hard body shots of cotto and right hands) and basically out boxing cotto for 12 rounds and using good counterpunching tactics.
if mosley can establish these tactics and set the pace of the fight early on and maintain it then mosley can win this fight.
for cotto to win he needs to go to the body early and often.
he needs to also hit mosley wherever mosley gives him to hit (even if its just his arms...if you hit a guy enough in the arms he will eventually be unable to hold his arms up) plain and simple.
cotto also needs to not allow shane to have time to rest. he needs to fight his fight, a high paced, punches in bunches, working the liver/bodypunching type of fight.
basically he cant allow mosley to get set for punches...always keep him backing up...remember you cant fight on your heels...
cotto is good with keeping his opponents busy.
if cotto does this then he will win.
overall its a close fight and either fighter can win.
a decision would be one of the most unlikely finishes to this fight due to the fact both fighters have great power.
and dont be surprised if you see each fighter go down for an 8 count.
this is one fight you dont want to take your eyes off of for a second because it very well could be over.
should be a good fight.Comment
