Why pac & camp hesitant against marquez
I based my perspective on the interviews pacman & roach had, and came out with the conclusion on the presented thread as:
Pacman & camp hesitant on the fight more on the reason of not wanting to possibly lose and their intention to waive the fight (as having other prospective mega exciting price fight to choose) just been padded by the truly unworthy asking price of marquez.
Note that marquez then is the hesitant fighter for the rematch to take place, that he settled to other fight,,less price..and loss. While manny craved to a rematch then to immediately rebuild his status after that prostrating draw (note that his most significant win is only that of barrera and came just before marquez fight), as such no option was to immediately have a fight next to a more elite morales after the failed marquez rematch….pac loss (controvercial coz of gloves, cut,etc)….as such again eagerly followed morales to 130 lbs for a rematch/that 2nd fight….the rest is history making pac what he is now. What factor for the hesitant?..per said interviews..
1. roach even after the 2nd fight with morales had expressed that, among the three, marquez be a harder fight for pac coz JM excellent counter puncher boxer that suit counter offense to pac way of fighting unlike MB & EM. Option of pac then in post fight interview is givng barrera a rematch, and or a 3rd fight with morales, he considered only marquez when been asked by Mario lopez..
2. pac pre-fight interview with MB rematch, said he prepares a toe to toe style fighter than a boxer (counter punching) as what he presumes that barrera would be in their fight. And Marquez is one great counter puncher boxer.
3. pac post fight interview with MB rematch, with Mario lopez, said he knows from the start that Mb would just box (counter) him that he is careful and not be too confident to just go straight and slug it out, coz too much confidence to go straight out may lead to disaster (on a counter puncher or punching which is true with marquez).
4. pac post fight conference interview-MB rematch, he also counter puncher as both of them (MB) are in the fight – I presume that pac tried or experimented a counter punching style or a boxer type for a counter puncher and also box barrera and not adopt his usual boxing style (go straight type of fighter) as in preparation to marquez as what he said in no. 3, too much confidence to go straight out may lead to disaster (on a counter puncher or punching). But not perfected it yet or find not indeed suit for him.
In shorter reason, MB style of fighting is a “contra fellow” to that of pac’.
And marquez is so eager for pac now? Coz he crave now for big monies and fame coz hes been surpassed by pac on that aspect having pac fights elite fighters and moreso of pac style of fighting, and JM considered that hard fights of pac against these elite fighters a plus factor for him (marquez) as pac maybe past his prime as what he noticed and stated with that of pac last two fights and that he(marquez) believe now that he can convincingly beat pacman to snatch for pac what that of pac is enjoying now. And JM too believe that his fighting style is suited to that of pac’ than other elite fighters even in 135lbs.
JM maybe truly mistaken, but he maybe right this time but he should settled first for a lesser pay (as what he deserves) if he truly want the fight to happen or he is just considering a mega paycheck if as this fight be the start of his eventual downfall leads to his retirement.
