You following this recent development? The WBA are having half points for close rounds, so that the division between a round won and a round edged is marked.

Now, for a hypothetical discussion, assume two things:

1. This was in place since, say, 2000

2. You can apply it to whatever fights you want, not just WBA.


Which fights this millennium would have been effected? Off the top of my head I think Roy Jones vs. Tarver I would have been different... any others?

DLH/Mayweather goes from being a SD(in my mind a 1 rd margin FOR Oscar) for floyd to a UD for floyd because most of the rounds floyd actually did enough to win in Oscar did nothing while Oscar won the close rounds.
