that he will win because Shane is too old? He's said this a million times since this fight has been made and no one cares. When people were talking about the Floyd-Mosley fight they said that Floyd only wants to fight him because he's old or thats the only reason why he might win.
I just have a feeling that if Floyd was fighting Shane and then said that then everyone would be talking non stop about it and ripping Floyd. I remember Floyd calling Gatti a bum the whole time and everyone ripping Floyd by saying that if you even call Gatti a bum then why should we give you credit for that win. The fans and media were saying that. Some even dropped him down on the P4P list after that and that was there excuse. My argument was that was just Floyd's way of talking and he would say that about anyone. Now he's fighting Hatton and he calls him a bum but no one really says anything about it. They dont say anything about it because they dont think Hatton is really a bum. That means that it was always there own thoughts and never about what Floyd said anyway.
To me its just a double standard. Its just like everyone ripping Floyd for the Zab fight and win but Cotto fights Zab after that and it turns him into a mega star. Everyone gave Cotto crazy praise for that. The bottom line is that if Floyd said that about Mosley then everyone would be ripping him and the funny thing is that he probally wouldnt even have to say it because they would say it before he did. Cotto says it and its just like a side bar that no one cares about. If he wins then he'll again get crazy mad credit for it but if Floyd wouldve fought him and won then they would try to rip the win to pieces. The bottom line is that Cotto is older now and is a P4P guy. Alot of people think that he is on the same level as Floyd and would beat him. If thats the case then when are people going to start judging them the same way and stop having a double standard like Cotto is some prospect? This is just some more bias against Floyd. Again, if Cotto wins then he might fight Oscar. Everyone ripped Floyd for that fight before and after. Watch how crazy they will go and how big they will make it out to be if Cotto fights him. They give Floyd no credit for that win but if Cotto wins then it will be like the biggest win in history.
As for the fight, I was liking Mosley 1st but I just rewatched Mosley's 1st fight against Oscar and you can see that he's not that guy anymore. Now he's like Holyfield when he started getting older. He's only explosive in spurts now. Back then Shane could do that the whole fight like Oscar but now he has to pick his spots. In the middle of that while he's resting then I think Cotto could be laying it on him some. Should be a great fight though
