Mayweather would have had to kill Coralles to make him stop. He definitely wanted to keep fighting and he was pissed when his corner stopped it. He was taking a vicious beating though and I think they did the right thing by stopping it.

I voted for the Coralles fight. I haven't seen a lot of the Chavez fight. The Gatti fight was pretty impresive too. He was not in his prime by any means (gatti) but he destroyed him. I knew floyd would win but I thought it would at least be somewhat competitive.

Gatti/De La Hoya wasn't competitive years earlier when Gatti was younger and stronger, what made you think the fight with Mayweather would be any different?

Chavez fight Mayweather was losing point but not the fight he was on control but wasnt active, He was patient hitting Chavez with many clean shots.

the pre-fight story of Jesus Chavez is really impressive there is a documentary about from where he first started in Chicago then deported to Mex. and came back for a title shot. It was really sad hardship story.

I never saw that fight. I wasn't really into boxing back then.

Corrales was severly weght drained. Mayweather beat up a tin can. Just like Pavlik beat up a life-less Miranda.

Soon as Mayweather stepped up at 135, he got his ass beat.

Probably his fight against Tony Pep. This was a big step up in class for him, it was one of those fights that was exciting without the fight being a brawl. Just pure technical boxing and Mayweather outclassed a really good boxer.

Castillo 2, to beat one of the few good fighters on his resume coming off a loss to him was heroic.

Im not a Floyd fan, but I agree 100% with what your saying. Corrales hadnt been beaten or dominated like before. Damn that was such a long time ago....
