since the gloves are heavy when you take them off the hand speed should be a lot faster when trying to steal the ball. any info would be appreciated.

in defense your feet is more important than your hands imo

Training with heavy gloves does speed up your punches, not sure what effect it has in basketball?

One thing boxing does for sure in basketball is it makes you tougher.

Because no matter how hard it gets, it's nothing compared to boxing. I've played high-level basketball and I WISH I would have started boxing training while I was playing. It just increases your confidence and builds your body a different way.

Nothing will ever intimidate you the way a boxing ring will when your tired.

I think it would cause you to commit more reaching fouls than anything, defense in basketball is all about where youre positioning is to the ball carrier, plus if you did **** like that, you would be more worried about watching the ball than watching where youre opponents position is body wise, which means youre going to get taken to the hole every single time.
