Former WBA Super flyweight champion Martin “Gallito” Castillo is itching to tangle with Mexican superstar Jorge “Travieso” Arce. “It’s a fight that’s been talked about for two years,” said Castillo. “It’s time to make it a reality.”
Castillo was set to face Arce until the Sinaloa, Mexico native ran into Christian Mijares. Mijares defeated Arce and dashed Castillo’s hopes for a fight against the popular former champion. “I was disappointed but he’s made a nice comeback and he’s been proving himself,” said Castillo. “I’ve also kept pretty active and winning and I think the timing is perfect now.”
