      Look, I love Shane and loved watching his career but it's tough to call him of the great lightweights ever . He was very good, but he never even beat the next best guy in the class. He beat Oscar, Molina, Leija and Vargas, and Diaz...those are arguably his five best CAREER foes beaten. He doesn't hold a record for title defenses in any class. He doesn't have a lengthy (by years) reign anywhere. He is a near-great, maybe a shade beyond Curry.

      That said, my pick notes that he has a healthy chance to win and if he does has a chance to push past near to clear great.
