David Diaz Eager To Go To War With Pacquiao

    By G. Leon,Thu, 08 Nov 2007
GL: I spoke with Bob Arum the other day and he made it clear that Manny Pacquiao is going to be moving up to lightweight and you're the frontrunner to land the fight. Can you give us some thoughts on that? "Awesome. It's a great fight that the people will love. I think our styles compliment each oth Read Full Story >>>

        David Diaz = Paper Champ.

Juan Diaz = The man in that division.

Pacquiao = low risk/low reward type of fighter.

I don't think Pac would be low reward, he would definitely earn Diaz some more respect and get his name out there more, even though he wouldn't be getting any belts out of it.

No I meant that those are the fights Pacquiao wants now, fights with minimal risk and minimal rewards. Taking the title from David Diaz wouldn't do anything for his reputation considering Juan Diaz is the known man in that division. And it's low risk because Morales spanked David's ass and got robbed, and if a drained and past his prime Morales could do it, Pac definitely could.

Okay, I got you. Yeah even if Pac loses, he can just go back down to super feather. I'll have to watch the Morales fight. I like Pac's ferocity, I just think lightweight is a little heavy for him. Should be a good fight though, him and Juan.

I'd put Joel Casamayor side by side with Juan as "The Man" in the division. In all honestly, Juan has just beaten paper champs to get where he is at, but he has done it to a lot of paper champs.

No, the man is Joel Casamayor. He beat the true champion, therefor he is the man. He was astripped, but those titles mean jack ****. His number one contender should be Juan Diaz. David Diaz, would be a nice fight for either though.

'Casa isn't even in the equation right now though, as sad as it is. I rate Joel much higher than Juan Diaz because of his accomplishments but HBO and the media in general are on a Juan Diaz kick. 'Casa is seen as the old man whom nobody pays too much attention to,
