Sometimes we set up a $10 pool for which round u thing the fight will end. Afterwards, we all talk more ****, and argue about technicalities in the fight. All the married guys go home, while everybody else finishes thier night in nearby bar.
That sound awsum man, i wish thats how i rolled!
I normally go out as usual about 12noon on the Razz, leave the club early totally steaming, get home around 2am (UK time) and watch the fight alone, think its ****e then watch it again and appreciate it in the morning! If its Hatton all my mates come up here to watch after a heavy session and if its Gonna be like this wkends Cotto vs Mosley war i stay in and hav a few cold beers and enjoy the inevetable Classic!

I have a lot of close friends but none of them have ever really gotten into boxing, or even given it a chance. Typically on a big fight night my routine varies depending on the fighters and how amped I am for the fight.

If it's a PPV fight I stream it online and sit at my computer and watch very closely. If it's a fight on Showtime or HBO, I watch it on my 52" television. Then there are the variables, I like to drink and I'm a smoker. For instance, for Marquez/Vazquez II I went out and got myself a box of Mexican cigars and some Tequila, my little way of paying respect to where the fighters come from.

And for Calzaghe/Kessler I got some imported Otley golden ale from Wales.

Just a weird little quirk of mine I guess.

I've tried the old scorecard routine before as well but I don't do it with paper anymore, that distracts me from the in corner advice. Now I do my best to score at the end of every round the way I see the fight going.

if everyone brings liquor and beer, and some ******* shows up with just chips, he shouldn't be allowed to watch the fight.

I've always been one of those guys who likes to try everything, and alcohol is probably my favorite method of relaxation. So it makes perfect sense for me to try the customary ales of a fighter's Country. My strange way of showing support.

I agree. One of the only times I was able to get a group of friends together for a fight everybody bought whiskey and beer, except one guy who brought a bag of pretzels.....

If you're going to bring food, bring a giant pizza, or one of those 6 foot long subs or something. Something we can all get full on and enjoy.
