The Thompsoin fight was AGES agio when Haye was still green.
That was a good lesson and I believe gave him the kick in the arse he needed.
He has grown naturally into a heavyweight as well now.
When he doesn't have to boild down to make weight he will be a veruy solid athletic 220lbs which is perfect for a Heavyweight.
Although he will give up weight advantage he will still have plenty of speed and power to trouble the big guys.
He can also BOX...he isn't just a slugger.
He throws a decent range of punches and particularly a good uppercut.
I just hope he hasn't left it too late for Mormeck with regards to struggling to make weight.
Defo one to watch and the fact he is British is even better.
He blew Bonin away inside a round who's only other defeat was a controversial stoppage to Fraudley Harrison in the 9th round I think.

i think you make some really good points, you dont have to weigh 240 pounds to be effective at heavy, just look at holyfield. his natural power should travel up to heavy and i think his explosiveness will do for most of the guys out there right now.

Good thing about Haye is that he has other tools...

Wlad showed vs Peter that you need more than power and size.
Wlad showed vs Byrd twice that you need more than just speed.

Haye should remain low in weight (220) and athletic as mentioned earlier so he can land those speedy power shots. Also so he can jab and move vs bigger men.

I really hope he has success at heavyweight.

            Do you remember this....

            Haye Vs Solis.
Haye rocks him in the opening round.
Of course he lost but he gave a great account back then.
He has come a long way since back then too.
And guess who just happens to be making waves in the Heavyweight division right now after legging it from Cuba?

These 2 could well be meeting up again as Pros.

Don't know really. Many will say it's dodgy while just as many will say nothing happened. But it is strange mixing 2 substances when he was only supposed to be taking water. But I think everything was legit for the rematch where he stopped him quicker, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Plenty of small things happen like this in boxing and in sport in general. Would Ali have recovered sufficiently if Angelo Dundee hadn't help that tear along and bought Ali valuable extra time, We'll never know but it doesn't take away from what Ali achieved.

I see this fight similar to the Sanders fight where handspeed and raw power do for Wladimir.... what are your thoughts guys??
But can haye take a punch? can haye take at punch from a world class heavyweight? and can he take Wlad's right hand?

                    Can Wlad avoid his?

We all know the question is whether Haye can take a big HW punch...but can a big HW avoid good pop/speedy right hands by a young and atheltic, rangy Haye?

                    They may take it...but can they take 2, 3, 6, 10, 20 of them throughout a fight?

Only time will tell...either way, he is a welcome addition to the HW scene

I think it all depends on what happens when he gets in a tough fight with a top heavyweight. i would like haye to beat wlad as kayjay hates haye so much.
