Michael Buffer - going through the motions?

I don't just mean last Saturday in a "I can't be bothered turning it on for a Schnell and a sheep shagger"... I'm talking in general over the last few months. His heart doesn't seem in it anymore, as if post Rocky Balboa he knows he can't get any higher.

These days when he does "let's get ready to rumbllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllle" he has a look in his eyes like a comedian that's getting a laugh with a joke he's told a thousand times, or a singer that's singing his only hit and not getting recognition for his triple concept album.

    You feeling me on this?

I thought he held out the Joe extra long when announcing Calzaghe as the winner.

Buffer is just like us. He loves boxing. When it comes to introducing the main event fighters he seems like he is always really excited.

But when he is introducing undercards or the judges and officials, then i agreee. I can only imagine how INCREDIBLY annoying and boring it would get, saying all that meaningless crap OVER and OVER and OVER again.

But after a great fight he's extactic and you can feel his excitement and i love that. Like after Taylor Pavlik he called it one of the great Middleweight fights in History. Just gets you a little more excited then u already were

The man has made a fortune out of five words, and his career doing so has lasted a lot longer than Bart Simpson saying "I didn't do it." on the Krusty the Klown show.
