A Calzaghe v Pavlik fight sounds great but he would have to wait around for Pavlik. So i think its just a case of bad timing.

Unless the Pavlik v Taylor winner moves straight up to light heavyweight, but thats a big ask.

An idea would be to fight Hopkins in America, then fight Clinton Woods in Wales towards the end of 2008 infront of 50,000 fans for his last fight.

Providing Woods is still champ and maybe he comes off a good win leading upto it.

oh i think calzaghe does reasonably well where moneys concerned. frank warren fighters tend not to get completely blind robbed, just casually and occassionally swindled. i think joe is only fighting for respect and for himself now, i can imagine maybe 3 more fights if he keeps winning, maybe a couple more if (for example) he lost to hopkins in his next fight. i'd say there are plenty of 'feasible' opponents for him, i dont think that will be an issue and if it was i'd guess a kessler rematch would be on the cards.

People saying joe is looking old are having a laugh, he doesnt look any different to any of his previous fights, but then sometimes it only takes one fight to age a fighter, and he took a fair few shots against kessler so we'll have to see how he is in his next

A fair comment, but Calzaghe has been in his fair share of wars in the past and still looks better than the man who won the title 10 years ago.

I'd like to see him pretty much unify at LHW - Hopkins, Dawson and finish off at home with Woods.
