Joe Calzaghe has been cut from 12/1 to 10/1 to win the BBC?s sports personality of the year award, according to Ladbrokes.
The undisputed super middleweight champion?s unification fight with Mikkel Kessler is due to be repeated on BBC at the weekend and the bookies think it will boost Calzaghe's chances of winning the prize.
Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg said: "Calzaghe has failed to win the gong on previous occasions because many of his fights have been shown on satellite channels, which has had an impact on his exposure.
"But the re-run will give a greater number the opportunity to watch arguably the defining moment in his career. He would, without question, be a worthy winner.?
He was 28/1 for the double Kessler/BBCSportsPersonality on Saturday.
